The BEYOND A BUILDING campaign is an ambitious 3-year initiative to raise $2,500,000 toward the purchase of a large, multi-purpose facility for Metro Community Church and Metro Community Center. The building will accommodate our rapidly growing church, provide adequate space for our adult and student ministries to thrive, and provide life-transforming programs and resources for the community of Englewood (and beyond).

OUR VISION FOR A PERMANENT HOME

While we do not currently have a facility or property lined up, we are actively searching and trust that God will provide just the right place in just the right location. In the meantime, we invite you to envision with us...

• A 40,000+ square foot facility located in Englewood’s third or fourth ward that will be home to Metro Community Church and the city’s first-ever community center.

• An intentionally designed space that maximizes a sense of welcome, belonging, and hope to all who walk through its doors.

• A state-of-the-art auditorium that seats between 800-1000 people and is designed to maximize the worship experience every Sunday — with little to no set up or breakdown.

• A dedicated student auditorium large enough for our entire youth ministry to comfortably gather and worship.

• An abundance of spacious classrooms to accommodate our growing student ministries, spiritual workshops (at least 20 per week), small groups, and expanding Metro Community Center programs — including providing academic support for a minimum of 50 middle and high school students.

• Adequate "safe spaces" and facilities to care for 50+ families with special needs.

• A full-sized gymnasium with a basketball court to facilitate sports and recreation programs for our student and adult ministries, plus allow Metro Community Center to expand its youth basketball program to serve 300 participants with coaching.

• Multiple flex-spaces to host large gatherings, worship events, special programs, conferences etc.

• Dedicated communal spaces, including a fully-operational café with seating.

• Dedicated studio spaces for creatives at Metro Community Church and participants at Metro Community Center to create powerful traditional, performing, and digital art. This would also allow us to expand our Summer Arts Program to serve up to 300 children annually.

• A huge parking lot to support the increase in overall church attendance.

• Ample office space to accommodate the staff and volunteers of Metro Community Church and Metro Community Center.

Realizing this ambitious vision will involve courageous faith and sacrificial giving on the part of anyone who believes in the vision and values of our church and everyone who calls Metro their spiritual home.
