Every Sunday, we have an amazing group of volunteers that regularly roll their sleeves up, put on a smile and work their hearts out to make sure that your Metro experience is one where you can walk away knowing that you met Jesus. These ministries include...
Welcome Team
The Metro 'Welcome Team' is the slightly wacky, but perfectly harmless, fun-loving peeps you’ll likely encounter first when you come to Metro Community Church. We are ambassadors and hosts - Metro’s welcome wagon!
What We Do
Hang banners, set up parking signs
Prepare, manage and break down the refreshments table
Fold, stuff and hand out Sunday worship bulletins
Coordinate parking
Greet, inform, direct people
Prepare and manage the info table
Track Sunday attendance
Collect offering/communication cards
Break down all of the Welcome Team items at the end of the day
For more info about serving on the welcome team, please email welcome@emetro.org.
Break Down
Break Down might be one of the least glamorous ministries, but one of the most important at Metro. Since our church does not have our own building, we operate as a “mobile church”, and convert an empty Cafeteria at an elementary school into a sanctuary that our congregation can have church service in every Sunday.
The more people we have on this team, the quicker the job gets done! If you have a heart to serve and want to utilize those muscles (or you just like being very organized – it’s not just all about heavy lifting) – this is the ministry for you!
Breakdown starts after second service (around 1pm).
For more information about, contact the Break Down team at breakdown@emetro.org.
Live Video Production
Ever wanted to get into television production, but don't have any experience? Never fear! Here at Metro, we have our very own multi-camera broadcasting setup that live streams our Sunday service online, as well as to our Gym and Nursery Rooms.
Our team consists of five roles:
Camera Operator
Graphics Operator
Video director/switcher
A/V Assistant
Sound Engineer
